1. Does anyone know anything about recovering deleted messages?
the deleted messages were previously saved in my HTC phone memory. not the SIM card. Phone: HTC Hero. - Andru
2. Restore/ retrieve deleted text messages from HTC Wildfire?
I have a HTC Wildfire running off Android 2.2.1, with service provider T-Mobile. I was clearing data from from my Manage Applications in Settings ie internet, facebook, ebay etc and purposely ignored anything to do with the Messages data, but it's completely deleted all my texts.
I tried turning the phone off & on again but no change. I restored from my sms backup app but as I haven't actually backed up for a while this was pretty pointless (I obviously didn't intend to delete everything, hence no backup for a while).
Overall it must be about 2000 texts that have gone, all from internal memory as sim card never holds enough, and I want to know if there is any way to recover/ restore these, thanks - Javey
If you want to retrieve deleted text messages from HTC phone, you need a third-party tool to help you, Android Data Recovery, which can help you to recover deleted contacts, text messages, photos, videos, music, documents files from HTC phone. You can download the tool below:
Step 1. Connect your HTC and get it identified
Download FoneLab Android Data Recovery software and install it on your computer. Launch the software and connect your Android phone with the computer via a USB cable.
In order to make your HTC One be identified by the Android Data Recovery, you need to confirm that it's in USB debugging first.
Step 2. Scan your HTC for the deleted text messages
Once your phone is connected successfully, Choose the file "Messages" and click Next to scan.
Allow to scan Android smart phones for lost data. The program needs to be authorized to scan the phone. So tap Allow/Grant/Authorize when the permission request message pops up. Click Retry if the messages doesn’t pops up on your phone.
Step 3. Preview and retrieve deleted text messages from HTC One/Wirdfire/Hero etc
The deep scan is a little time-consuming. Once it terminates, you can choose Messaging among the categories on the window's left side to browse the full content. Not only the text content, you can also browse the attached photos and videos in the thread. Then you can check what you want to get back and click Recover to save them on your computer.
Note: Text Messages shown in the scan result contains recently deleted ones and those on your phone right now. If you don't want all of them, you can selectively check those you want or separate them by using the button: Only display deleted items.
